The Actors Guild of the Philippines led by its President Imelda Papin and the Board of Directors heartily invite everyone to join the “Actors Guild of the Philippines Shootfest President’s Cup 2017” to pay tribute to the King of Philippines Movies, Fernando Poe Jr., in recognition of his being a former president of the Actors Guild as well as in acknowledgment of his contributions to the growth of Philippine cinema. The shoot-for-a-cause will be held Saturday, Dec. 2, and Sunday, Dec. 3, at the Armscor Ranges in Marikina City at 8 a.m.
Invited to grace the ceremonial shoot are Sen. Grace Poe, former Sen. Lito Lapid, PNP chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa, former AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Hermogenes C. Esperon Jr., MMDA Chairperson Danny Lim, MMDA Director for Enforcement Gen. Teroy Taguinod, respected actor and legendary director Eddie Garcia, former presidents of the Actors Guild, and other celebrity guests.
The shootfest is intended for the medical insurance of the Guild members under Philhealth. Notably, the Guild members are now under Social Security System (SSS) coverage through the historic MoA signing between the Guild and SSS officials last July 28. Just recently, the Guild inked an agreement with Petron Corp. providing the Petron Value Card with its rewards program to all members. The forthcoming MoA with Philhealth will be signed on Dec. 15.
Everyone is invited to come and participate in this worthy cause.
Inquire at 0908-422-2169 or visit the Guild office located at the basement of the SSS building. The office is named “Home of Filipino Artists,” which was generously provided by the SSS.
