Kapamilya stars Iñigo Pascual and Maris Racal said that they are not in a relationship these days but they are “exclusively talking.”
“Hindi pa po kasi kami nagde-date,” said Maris, when asked about the status of her relationship with Iñigo, during an interview on “Tonight With Boy Abunda” on ABS CBN.
Iñigo said: “We’re not dating kasi when you say you are dating, we’ll have to be spending more time together.”
“And I wouldn’t wanna be in a position where we put ourselves na parang we’re dating pero I wont be able to give naman the time and effort that she deserves,” the “Dahil Sa ’Yo” hitmaker said.
When asked if they will be in a relationship soon, Maris said: “Very sacred po sa amin yung in a relationship. Kapag in a relationship kayo both of you dapat fulfilled na kayo sa lahat ng dreams nyo. At nagawa n’yo ng lahat ng gusto nyong gawin as singles.”
Maris, 20, who rose to fame when she won second place in the reality show “Pinoy Big Brother: All In” in 2014, hopes to write songs and even come up with an album with Iñigo.
The son of actor Piolo Pascual defended Maris from allegations that she was the cause of break-up between Diego Loyzaga and Sofia Andres.
“I feel bad that people would even think Maris would do such thing. We’re all friends. Diego is my friend. Sofia is my friend. There are things we cannot just laugh about kasi kami mismo magkakaibigan kami. People are thinking things na hindi naman tutoo,” said Iñigo.
Maris said: “To be honest po, hurt ako kasi nadya-judge yung friendship nung tao. Kasi kami talaga ni Diego sobrang friends kami. And never kami nagkaroon ng relationship to begin with.”
“Sobrang friends kami at sobrang close ko po sa mommy nya, sa tita nya. Kaya siguro na dya-judge ng fans na nagkaroon kami ng relationship,” she said.
Asked if she is still friends with Sofia, Maris said: “Yes naman po. Pinagtawanan na po namin (yung issue).”
Iñigo, 20, also admitted he was in a relationship with Sofia in the past.
