There was no meeting between Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and Miss Philippines Rachel Peters after the Miss Universe 2017 beauty pageant held in Las Vegas, Nevada last Nov. 26.
This was revealed by Rodgil Flores, head of the Kagandahang Flores beauty camp, who just arrived from the US where he supported Peters in the prestigious competition. Flores and his group groomed Peters for the prestigious pageant.
“No. Hindi po sila nag-meet,” said Flores during an ambush interview when asked if Wurtzbach met Peters backstage or elsewhere after the Miss Universe 2017 contest.
Flores made the reaction after he received the award for the Philippine Empowered Men and Women of 2017 held at the Teatrino in Greenhills, San Juan, organized by Richard Hiñola of RDH Entertainment Network.
The pageant guru also said “no” when asked again if there was an opportunity for Peters to pose for a picture with Wurtzbach after the Miss Universe contest.
It would be recalled that Wurtzbach approached Miss Philippines Maxine Medina and hugged her on stage apparently to comfort her after she finished in the Top 6 of the Miss Universe 2016 contest held in Manila last January 30.
Peters finished in the Top 10 of the Miss Universe contest.
Wurtzbach has issued a statement on Instagram saying that she was proud of Peters.
Fans have been at odds since it was announced that Wurtzbach will be one of the judges for the competition. They said that the decision of the judges might be affected because Wurtzbach and Peters belong to rival beauty camps in the country.
Wurtzbach belongs to the Aces and Queens of Jonas Gaffud while Peters is under the KF family managed by Flores.
