Games Tomorrow
(The Arena, San Juan City)
4:15 p.m. – Foton vs Sta. Lucia
7 p.m. – Cignal vs Cocolife
As expected, top-ranked F2 Logistics made quick work of eight-seeded Iriga City, 25-19, 25-12, 25-17, last night to clinch the first semifinals ticket in the 2017 Philippine Superliga (PSL) Grand Prix at The Arena in San Juan City.
Showing the same intensity in a straight-set victory in their previous encounter on the final day of elimination round over the weekend, the Cargo Movers proved too hot to handle for the Oragons.
With the win, F2 Logistics booked a return trip to the semis where it will face the winner of the other quarterfinal pairing between No. 4 Cignal and No. 5 Cocolife set at 7 p.m. tomorrow.
“Nakalaban namin sila last time so parang inulit na lang namin ‘yung ginawa namin. Nag-build na rin kami ng additional confidence going to the semis,” said Cargo Movers coach Ramil de Jesus.
American import Kennedy Bryan and touted Venezuelan counterpart Maria Jose Perez took care of the offensive end with a combined 26-point output while ace playmaker Kim Fajardo made 18 excellent sets to help F2 Logistics handle the error-prone Iriga City side with ease in just 71 minutes of play.
