In its continuing effort to inspire and motivate PBA players, Mighty Sports Apparel and Accessories linked up with the PBA Press Corps during its recent annual Awards Night.
“It’s our own little way to honor the players who have worked doubly hard to enhance their skills,” said Caesar Angelo Wongchuking during the PBAPC Awards Night. “It’s just right to honor these players because they persevered to excel.”
This time, Mighty Sports sponsored not only one but two awards – the Defensive Player of the Year and the Scoring Champion.
San Miguel Beer’s Chris Ross ran away with the Defensive Player of the Year award while GlobalPort star guard Terrence Romeo expectedly took the Scoring Champion award.
“We’re happy to sponsor the Scoring Champion award because this marked the third straight time that Romeo won the prestigious award,” added Wongchuking.
Aside from its PBAPC project, Mighty Sports has also backed the campaign of College of St. Benilde and supported several individuals who have done enough and made the country proud for their respective sports.
Mighty Sports is hopeful it can put up a formidable team to compete in a soon to start commercial league so it can help amateur and ex-pro players.
“We want to help these young players realize their dream and give some ex-pros an extension of their careers,” said Wongchuking.
