FAMILY FILM – For a pleasant and refreshing change, Vic “Bossing” Sotto topbills a family film for the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival, “Meant to Beh.” With the lovely Dawn Zulueta as leading lady, playing wife and mother of their three children.
After all, Christmas is family, they say, making “Meant to Beh” the perfect MMFF offering which opens on Dec. 25 and extends up to the first week of New Year.
It’ll be called that previous Vic starrers were action-fantasy, with comic touches. Think “Okay Ka Fairy Ko!,” “Fantastic Man,” “Enteng Kabisote,” and “Lastikman.”
“Bossing” and Dawn believe that the whole family, young and old alike, will enjoy “Meant to Beh”… and learn lessons in life without preaching.
To which director Chris Martinez agrees wholeheartedly, “Masaya ang pelikula, tatawa ang mga manonood pero marami silang matututunan.”

REUNION – Vic and Dawn were together 20 years ago in the TV series “Okay Ka Fairy Ko!” This time they share stellar billing in a movie.
Despite the 20-year gap, they felt at home with each other right away. “Parang kahapon lang kami huling nagsama,” says Dawn.
Co-starring with Vic and Dawn are Ruru Madrid, Andrea Torres, Daniel Matsunaga, Sue Ramirez, Thou Reyes, Baby Baste, and Gabbi Garcia.
Vic notes, “Walang network war sa pelikula namin. Kapuso, Kapamilya, Kapatid magkakasama.”
“Dapat lang magtulungan ang lahat. Pareho-pareho tayong taga-showbiz,” says Dawn.

PROS ALL – “Bossing” notes many claim that the young stars today are “pasaway, walang disiplina.” Well not the young stars of “Meant to Beh” who are professionals all. Vic says that they didn’t mind waiting on the set for three, four, five, or even six hours. There were the usual delays, snags, unforeseen events in making a movie and the young stars took them in stride.
Dawn says it was a pleasure working with the young ones, “As ‘Bossing’ Vic said, lahat sila professional.”
So there. Come Dec. 25 Christmas, “Bossing” and Dawn invite the whole family to watch and enjoy “Meant to Beh.”
