Moro Branislav’s future with powerhouse Foton Tornadoes remains uncertain, but that doesn’t mean the decorated Serbian mentor is running out of suitors within the Philippine Superliga circle and even beyond.
According to Branislav himself on Wednesday night, at least four PSL teams and another one from league rival Premier Volleyball League have expressed their desire to acquire his services if and when the Tornadoes refuse to give him a fresh new deal.
“My contract will end this month. Maybe I’ll coach Foton, maybe not. At this moment I have no offer from Foton,” said Branislav, 60, in an earlier interview after the Tornadoes salvaged the bronze medal in the PSL Grand Prix last Tuesday.
A Level 3 FIVB coach who has previously plied his trade in Europe, Africa and several Asian countries, Branislav made his coaching debut in local soil last year when he called the shots for PSL Manila Team in the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championships.
Then he hooked up with the Tornadoes after Foton cut short its partnership with Italian mentor Fabio Menta.
Branislav will then steered the Tornadoes to a successful title retention bid in the Grand Prix before making a pair of bronze medal finishes in the All-Filipino tilt and the import-spiced conference this year.
Meanwhile, Branislav and other league coaches have expressed their satisfaction over the use of tablet system in the Chooks to Go-PSL Grand Prix best-of-three finals series between Petron and F2 Logistics.
