About 200 relieved Caloocan City cops were re-assigned to the Southern Police District (SPD) after finishing the re-training program that they took following a series of controversial issues regarding police operations.
Chief Supt. Tomas Apolinario Jr., SPD director, said about 200 cops reported to the SPD headquarters in Taguig City yesterday. He gave them some words of wisdom.
“Ang sabi ko lang kanina gamitin nila ‘yung natutunan nila sa training, seryosohin nila at saka maging tapat sa serbisyo. Saka huwag ma-involve sa illegal kasi sayang yung serbisyo nila kung madi-dismiss lang sila,” Apolinario told reporters.
The re-assigned cops will be distributed to the seven major police stations under the jurisdiction of the SPD, namely Pasay City Police Station (PS), Parañaque City PS, Makati City PS, Taguig City PS, Las Piñas City PS, Muntinlupa City PS, and Pateros PS.
“Meron nang order galing from NCRPO (National Capital Region Police Office) na bumaba sa amin, so magde-decide pa kung ilan ang mapupunta sa ganito, ilan sa ganyan,” Apolinario explained.
Apolinario expressed optimism that the “changed” cops would be valuable in SPD operations. (Martin A. Sadongdong)
