Manila-Camiguin direct flight launched

Skyjet Airline, Manila’s boutique airline, has launched its first direct flight from Manila to Camiguin Island.

The inauguration was graced by Miss Universe-Philippines Rachel Peters and other Miss Universe contestants from China, United Kingdom, Malaysia, Italy and the United States.

Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo said the presence of the beauty queens will boost tourism in Camiguin which is seen to become a top tourist destination.

“We will continue with our mission of serving underserved local destinations and exploring the unexplored islands in the Philippines,” said Dino Reyes-Chua, president of Skyjet Airlines.

The Manila-Camiguin flights will start in February.

Skyjet Airlienes flies daily and direct from Manila to Batanes, Siargao, Coron, Palawan and Boracay.
