Sharon admitted that she was scared that the box-office earnings of her latest film would be affected with the showing of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”
The megastar thanked all those who supported her new movie which also stars Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia.
“Dear “Star Wars The Last Jedi,” We love you so much but were so scared of your opening in cinemas in the Philippines while we were still showing;
“(Even if my “Madrasta” beat Sean Connery and Nicholas Cage’s THE ROCK in our country a looong time ago! Naks. Eh we didn’t know how we’d do this time!)’
“Now we just want to say, “Congrats to both our movies!” And mga kapmilya — WE ARE STILL SHOWING!!! Sana po manuod na po kayong di pa nakakapanood ng “UNEXPECTEDLY YOURS” at sana po manood kayong mga nakapanood na ULIT!!!! Maraming, maraming salamat po at mahal na mahal namin kayo! Praise GOD!” she said.
“Unexpectedly Yours” is the third blockbuster movie for the love team of Sharon and Robin. They first appeared together in the film “Maging Sino Ka Man” in 1991 and “Pagdating ng Panahon” in 2001.
