PROVEN – Strange as it may seem, moviegoers like to be scared on Christmas. It’s been proven by Regal all these years.
Think “Aswang,” “Tiyanak,” “Sigaw,” “Haunted Mansion.” And of course, “Shake, Rattle, & Roll,” the unbeatable franchise in the history of Philippine cinema… and even the world. Sixteen (or is it 17?) versions. Virtually all movie stars have been part of SSR.

‘HAUNTED FOREST’ – Now comes Regal’s “Haunted Forest,” out to haunt and scare moviegoers this Christmas… up to New Year. What is the mystery behind the “Haunted Forest” and who is the dreaded “Sitsit”? How will the “Haunted Forest” change the lives of the four youngsters played by Jane Oineza, Maris Racal, Jon Lucas, and Jameson Blake?
By the way, the “Haunted Forest” will not only scare moviegoers, it’ll also teach them how to love and learn family values. It earned a B from the Cinema Evaluation Board.

GETTING TO KNOW – Let’s get to know the four stars of the “Haunted Forest.”
JANE OINEZA – She’s appeared in some well received horror roles, Jane was also acclaimed in an episode (2012) of the ABS-CBN’s “Maalaala Mo Kaya,” where she merited a nomination from the New York Festivals 2013 and 41st International Emmy Awards. Oh, she used to be the girlfriend of basketball idol Jeron Teng, but that is history. Jane’s long moved on.
MARIS RACAL – She earned good notices in last year’s “Vince & Kath & James.” She was funny without trying to be one, nearly upstaging the lead stars.
JAMESON BLAKE & JON LUCAS – Members of ABS-CBN’s “It’s Showtime” Hashtags, they are not only dynamite on the dancing floor. They’ve also shown their acting chops in several indies.
Rated PG by the MTRCB, “Haunted Forest” co-stars Raymart Santiago, Joey Marquez, Jerald Napoles, Betong Sumaya, Myrtle Sarrosa, Miho Nishida, Fiona Yang, Kelvin Miranda, and Beverly Salviejo.
Directed by Ian Lorenos.
