Commissioner Caesar R. Dulay of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has conducted another major personnel shake-up in preparation for this year’s tax collection drive to raise more than P2 trillion.
The latest batch affected 40 key field officials mostly revenue district officers (RDOs) in Metro Manila and elsewhere.
Among the RDOs who were transferred to big districts were Antonio Mangubat Jr., from San Juan City to Parañaque City; Rufo Banario from Calamba City to Pasig City; Beethseeba Bautista from Taguig City to Binondo, Manila.
Edith Calipusan from South Manila to Taguig; Honorata Aguilar from Baguio City to Pasay City; Ricardo Esperito from Binondo to South Makati; Joseph Catapia from Batangas West to South Manila; Thelma Mangio from Alaminos City to San Juan City
Shirley Calapatia from chief of the Large Taxpayers Service (LTS) regular division to RDO of Makati North; Pampanga RDO Erlinda Victorino to chief of the LTS excise division, and North Quezon City Assistant RDO Jose Luna to head of LTS Cebu.
It was the third major revamp this month which saw the appointment, among others, of Manila Revenue Regional Director Arnel Guballa as deputy commissioner for operations, Pangasinan Regional Director Teresita Angeles as head of the LTS which audits big businesses and Clavelina Nacar from Makati assistant director to Pangasinan revenue regional director.
