KAPAMILYA star Enrique Gil has called on screen partner Liza Soberano “my forever” as she celebrates her birth anniversary in Madrid, Spain on Jan. 4.
“To the woman that I call my forever, all I want is for you to be happy in all that you do. You fill the gaps in my life with your love, simplicity and kindness, seeing you smile makes me feel completely and genuinely happy. I promise to make you smile for the rest of my life i love you happy birthday mi corazon,” said Gil on Instagram as he posted a photo with Soberano.
Gil posted his sweet birthday message to Soberano while on vacation in Europe. Earlier, the on-screen partners went to London and Paris.
Despite being sweet and close to each other, Gil and Soberano have yet to confirm their relationship.
“Hindi ah! Walang ganun!” said Soberano, when asked if she and Gil were sweethearts, during an interview on “Tonight With Boy Abunda” on ABS-CBN in August 2017.
Gil, who then sat next to Soberano during the interview, said: “Ang sinabi ko naman parang ganun kasi ‘yung dad n’ya okay naman kami. Okay naman kami ng parents nya.”
Soberano said that her grandfather wanted her to have a boyfriend at 25. She just turned 19 this year.
“Yung lolo ko ayaw pa n’ya. Sabi n’ya antay pa raw ako ng mga 25,” she said.
Gil had said in a previous episode of the same show that they were like boyfriend and girlfriend. “We treat each other like boyfriend-girlfriend. Yeah, we’re boyfriend and girlfriend! That’s how we treat each other;
“Our parents hindi naman sinabi na OK pwede na kayong maging girlfriend-boyfriend. Walang ganun. But we treat each other like we are. So parang ganun na rin! Parang it’s the same thing narin!” said Gil.
Asked what his mom like about Soberano, Gil said: “I think she balances me out unlike the previous girls my mom met.
Feeling ko ‘yung ayaw ng mom ko na I do, Liza has the same pages as my mom. It’s good to have someone who balances you. That’s what she is! Maybe that’s why my mom likes her, too!”
