ABS-CBN’s newest afternoon series “Asintado” hit the bull’s eye in national TV ratings as its pilot episode last Monday (Jan. 15) won its timeslot and thrilled more viewers nationwide.
The series starring Julia Montes garnered a national TV rating of 17.7%, or a four-point lead compared to its rival show “Impostora” with only 13.7%, based on data from Kantar Media. It was also a hit online as the show’s official hashtag #AsintadoPanimula led the list of trending topics online and received thousands of tweets from netizens.
The premiere introduced viewers to sisters Juliana and Katrina, who got separated after a fire engulfed their home and killed their parents. The incident will change their fate as they grow up in two different families who will adopt and take care of them.
What kind of future lies ahead of Juliana and Katrina? Will they be able to recognize each other once they meet again?
Aside from “Asintado’s” much-awaited debut, the finale of “Pusong Ligaw,” which aired on the same timeslot, hit an all-time high national TV rating of 22% versus “Impostora” with only 14.9%, according to data from Kantar Media.
