Around 50 people, including minors, were rounded up by the authorities during simultaneous police operations in Caloocan City and Malabon City from Friday night to Saturday morning.

A report from the Caloocan police said eight violators were put behind bars after they were caught drinking in public places.

Also, eight minors were apprehended for violating the 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew. They were brought to City Social Welfare Development, said Caloocan police chief Sr. Supt. Jemar Modequillo.

In Malabon, authorities nabbed 34 violators for either going out shirtless or for drinking in public places.

Three minors were also apprehended for violating curfew, said Malabon police chief Sr. Supt. John Chua.

The offenders should pay penalties worth P500-P1,000.

Both the city police chiefs said they will continue to intensify their police operations against violators of city ordinances.
