Reigning champion Daniel Cormier scored a second-round TKO over challenger Volkan Oezdemir to retain his light heavyweight belt at UFC 220 over at the TD Garden in Boston.
Cormier used a takedown on Oezdemir and went on an onslaught. With the Swiss unable to defend himself, the match was stopped at the two-minute mark.
It was technically the fifth-straight win by Cormier. His loss to Jon Jones last July was nullified after “Bones” tested positive for steroids.
On the other end, Oezdemir saw his five-fight winning streak come to an end.
