ACTOR JC Santos got emotional on national television as he talked about his sister and his break-up with his long-time girlfriend.
“As a brother, I love my sister so much. I get emotional whenever I talk (about my sister). My greatest dream is makatapos sya,” said Santos, during an interview on “Tonight With Boy Abunda” on ABS CBN.
“Ang buhay namin nun ng kapatid ko, palipat-lipat kami ng bahay kasi nga OFW ‘yung parents. And I miss her every time kasi nga pinu-pursue ko ‘yung pangarap ko dito sa Manila;
“Hindi ko sya lagi nakikita. So now nagpatayo na ako ng bahay kasi nga po lagi kaming nakikitira. Ngayon masaya ako dahil malapit na syang mag-graduate, mag-te-thesis na sya,” said Santos, who hails from Pampanga.
On sending his sister to school, Santos said: “Hati-hati po kami sa pagpapa-aral sa kanya. Ang mahirap lang kasi minsan hindi ako nakaka-relate sa family gatherings kasi hindi ko po alam ‘yung feeling na andyan lagi ‘yung pamilya mo. Nasanay po akong mag-isa, surviving everytime,”
Santos appeared on the late-night show to promote his latest movie “Mr. and Mrs. Cruz” with Ryza Cenon.
On money matters, Santos said: “I save a lot. Pinagsisipagan ko talaga. Let’s say sa P100,000, ang savings ko is P80,000-P90,000. Kuripot ako at saka wala akong luho. Wala rin akong bisyo.
“May mga nagtanong sa akin dati na, ‘Are you an addictive person? Do you have an addictive personality?’ Wala.”
Asked what he’s saving for, Santos said: “If ever na magkataon na maghirap ako uli, ayoko na pong dumating sa part na ‘yun eh, na magugutom ako uli.”
Santos, 29, also confirmed his break-up with Teetin, his girlfriend of four years.
Sought to give message to her former GF, the actor said: “Teetin, sorry I let you down. Nandito pa rin naman ako para maging kaibigan. You deserve to be happy. Pasensya na kung hindi ko mabigay sa’yo ‘yun.”
“Napaka-loving ni Teetin. At hindi ko mapantayan ‘yung pagmamahal na ‘yun. You deserve someone better,” Santos said.
Asked where the pain is coming from, Santos said: “Pag-ganun na katagal, you feel that it’s forever na.”
Santos rose to fame via the popular Kapamilya teleserye “Til I Met You” in 2016 although in 2013, he started to appear on television in the Kapuso series “Mundo Mo’y Akin.”
He studied Theater Arts at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City. He also worked at Hong Kong Disneyland and Universal Studios in Singapore as a singer and dancer for several years.
