Members of the national karatedo team yesterday expressed their disgust over the leadership of the Philippine Karatedo Federation (PKF) owing to alleged cheating and the apparent lack of interest of president Joey Romasanta to their pleas.
Speaking during the PSA Forum at Tapa King in Cubao, team captain Engene Dagohoy lashed out at Romasanta and secretary general Raymond Lee as high-ranking Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) officials listened to their cries.
“Lagi niyang sinasabi na wala silang budget,” said Dagohoy, referring to Lee.
The athletes alleged that allowances given by the PSC didn’t reach them and even repeated calls for help relayed to Romasanta fell on deaf ears.
