San Sebastian leaned on its experience and beat Lyceum, 25-23, 25-6, 25-14, yesterday in the NCAA women’s volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan City.
Despite having only eight players, the Lady Stags displayed cohesion and strength against the Lady Pirates to extend their winning streak to four games and improve to 5-2 for solo third.
Nikka Dalisay led San Sebastian with 16 points built on 12 kills and four aces while Dangie Encarnacion and Joyce Sta. Rita contributed with 10 points, respectively, in the 55-minute match.
The Lady Stags were impressive with their service they tallied 18 service aces including eight from Julie Anne Tiangco. The Lady Pirates made only 18 kills to underscore the team’s lack of firepower.
The SSC belles, on contrast, made 33 attacks.
