TNT KaTropa’s Troy Rosario is likely to miss this weekend’s match against Barangay Ginebra San Miguel following a bad fall in Wednesday’s 74-72 loss to Phoenix in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Dexter Aseron, TNT’s Physical Therapist, said that X-Ray and CT Scan results came out negative after Rosario was brought to the Makati Medical Center on a stretcher when he landed face first during a rebound play involving him and Phoenix rookie Jason Perkins.
“There was no neurological deficit, or broken jaw… of course these were the concerns when a player had that kind of bad fall. Good thing wala naman,” said Aseron when contacted by the Bulletin yesterday.
Aseron, however, added that Rosario would be evaluated on Monday, which could force the KaTropa to play without their best big man for Sunday’s meeting with the Kings at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
He could also miss Gilas Pilipinas’ practice sessions for the second window of the 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian qualifiers. The Nationals play Australia on Feb. 22 in Melbourne and Japan on Feb. 25 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
