1 p.m. – Letran vs Perpetual (Juniors)
4 p.m. – Arellano vs Perpetual (Men’s)
Arellano University and University of Perpetual Help clash for one last time with the winner earning the coveted NCAA men’s volleyball title today at The Arena in San Juan City.
Match is at 4 p.m. with both teams determined to pour everything out in deciding Game 3 of their championship series.
Perpetual is expected to ride the momentum of a 26-24, 25-20, 23-25, 25-16 Game 2 victory last Monday to clinch its sixth title since 2010.
Altas coach Sammy Acaylar sees another classing duel but worries about his players’ tendency to be complacent.
For them to beat the Chiefs for the second straight game, they have to be more aggressive.
Acaylar is pinning his hopes once again on Rookie-Most Valuable Player winner Joebert Almodiel and Best Setter winner Warren Catipay who made the big plays in the crunch.
Out to provide additional firepower for the Altas are Rey Taneo, John Patrick Ramos, Ridzuan Muhali and Ronniel Rosales who combined for 49 points in Game 2.
In juniors play, Perpetual guns for its fourth consecutive crown when it collides with Letran in Game 2 of their best-of-three finals at 1 p.m.
The Junior Altas are coming off a 25-16, 25-15, 20-25, 25-20 Game 1 triumph last Monday with First Best Spiker Noel Kampton firing 22 points.
