ERICH ON HER TOES: “Naghanda talaga ako. Siempre naman, ikaw ata ang kaeksena ko,” Erich Gonzales openly admitted to co-actor Cherry Pie Picache after a particularly trying, crying scene in now-showing series “The Blood Sisters.”
The fast-rising drama actress says playing opposite veteran actresses like Cherry Pie keeps her on her toes all day and night on the set of the high-ranking series. Not only is she coping with Cherry Pie, Erich is also doing equally difficult scenes with the likes of Dina Bonnevie, Tessie Tomas, and Pilar Pilapil.
That’s because she is playing three characters – long-lost sisters all – in the TV series that took off to rousing high ratings on its first week. The three characters range from being meek and mild to bold and brazen. The roles are quite hard, made more difficult by the fact that they’re being shot simultaneously. Erich has to transfer from one location to the next on the same day even as she changes wardrobe and character while in transit.
Pie recalled that during a recent Baguio park shoot, she noticed how Erich focused on her script in a corner, unmindful of the cold weather and too many distractions on the set. The veteran actress noted that few young actors today bother to study their lines religiously but not this girl, Erich. “Aral talaga siya.”

‘KATORSE’ DAYS: Erich has gone a long way since she was launched in a sexy drama series, “Katorse,” in 2008. She’s reunited with her “Katorse” leading man Enchong Dee in “Blood Sisters.” She notes how much they have changed, and matured, for the better. Thankful that after 10 years, they’re still very much a part of the industry.
In “The Blood Sisters,” Erich is united with the original “Katorse” star, Dina Bonnevie.
“The Blood Sisters” has an all-star cast that includes Ejay Falcon, AJ Muhlach, Jestoni Alarcon, Dante Rivero, Ogie Diaz, Ian de Leon, Maika Rivera, Ruby Ruiz, Dindi Gallardo.
