The Commission on Elections said yesterday that party-list groups planning to participate in the May 2019 national and local polls have until April 30, 2018 to file their manifestations of intent to participate.
“An April 30, 2018 deadline is set for filing of the Manifestation of Intent to Participate in the 2019 Elections for PL System by as-yet unregistered PL Groups, Coalitions, and Organizations; and filing of the Manifestation of Intent to Participate in the 2019 Elections for PL System by existing PL Groups, Coalitions, and Organizations,” Comelec spokesman James Jimenez said in a blog post.
He said Comelec Resolution No. 10245 states that the deadline for the submission of petitions for registration of unregistered party-list groups, coalitions, and organizations is also on April 30.
“Yes, unregistered PL groups, coalitions, and organizations need to submit their application for registration together with their manifestation of intent to participate in the 2019 polls,” said Jimenez.
