Former President Benigno S. Aquino III is expected to enlighten congressmen today on whether or not he green-lit the realignment of P3.5-billion worth of funds for the purchase of Dengvaxia vaccines from French multinational pharmaceutical company Sanofi Pasteur.
“Did Aquino authorize the realignment of funds to buy Dengvaxia? The former President is coming,” said Surigao del Sur Rep. Johnny Pimentel, chairman of the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability, one of the House panels, the other the Health committee, looking into the Dengvaxia controversy.
Former Department of Budget and Management Secretary Florencio “Butch” Abad Jr. is also expected to grace the joint panel inquiry as resource person. (Ellson A. Quismorio)
