DON’T be surprised if actors Matteo Guidicelli and Sarah Geronimo will walk down the aisle one of these days.
In an interview on “Tonight With Boy Abunda” on ABS CBN, Matteo admitted that he and girlfriend Sarah are already talking marriage.
“We stumble upon it sometimes,” said Matteo. Sought for details, the actor smiled and told Abunda: “I’ll tell you about it later.”
There’s no doubt that Matteo was born and raised to a wealthy family. Despite this, Matteo said that he is hard-working.
“My parents taught me, no matter where you are born or what you are born with, you always have to work. You always have to start from scratch and build yourself, build a respect. You cannot get respect overnight,” Matteo said.
“Kahit sino ka it’s important to work. You have to work for everything,” he added.
Asked how rich he is, Matteo said: “My heart is rich!”
“We’re okay. I come from a happy family. My dad came to the Philippines with just P500 in his pocket. That’s 30 years ago;
“Not knowing how to speak English. Then he worked, he climbed the ladders slowly. So he built what we have today because of him. So that’s what he’s trying to teach us, to build also from scratch.
“I’m just working hard. That’s what I’m doing. I try to work hard. My dad, my parents gave me the tools. We opened a restaurant in Cebu now we are opening our second branch. It’s called Trattoria da Gianni. Everybody is welcome. It’s in Alabang. If I’m not taping I’m there. It’s not easy, you really have to be hands-on,” Matteo said.
Guidicelli, 27, was born and raised in Cebu. He is also a singer and an athlete. His grandfather is the late Senator and Chief Justice Marcelo Fernan.
