PH-THAILAND COLLAB: Talk of a hot and spicy, inter-Asia collaboration.
Sultry drama star Maja Salvador has just finished recording a collab with Thai pop star and pianist Tor in what is predicted to be an Asia-wide sensation.
The duo did their recording at the Karma Studios in Bang Saray, south of Pattaya. Karma is said to be one of Thailand’s finest recording studios, brandishing state of the art facilities and equipment.
The song, “Falling Into You,” was penned by Tor himself. The up-tempo song highlights Tor’s smooth piano-playing skills and vocals, complimented by Maja’s emotion-filled delivery.
It marks Maja’s first time to collaborate with a foreign artist, and Tor’s first time as well to record an English single.
The “Wildflower” star considers doing the song a milestone in her multi-faceted career. Not only is Maja an excellent drama actress, she is also a wild flower on stage, singing while dancing up a storm.
‘METEOR GARDEN’S’ PRODUCER: Victor Lau, a well-known music producer and composer from Taiwan, produced Maja and Tor’s landmark single.
Lau previously produced tracks for “Meteor Garden’s” Vaness Wu, and Cyndi Wang.
“Falling Into You” was released globally in February 2018.
It is a joint project between YBEC-TERO Music Thailand and Ivory Music and Video Philippines.
Tor was in the Philippines recently to do a promo shoot and music video with Maja.
AFTER ‘WILDFLOWER’: Meanwhile, Maja is still on a high following the closure recently of her wildly popular TV series, “Wildflower.”
The series closed to extremely high ratings that Maja can afford to rest and take things easy. But, she’s hardly the type to sit on her laurels.
The singer-actress has been on whirlwind, bringing her concert series here, there, and everywhere. She brought it to Singapore on Feb. 18 and will be mounting the KIA stage in Cubao on March 23.
