Global-Cebu continued its frustration in the AFC Cup Wednesday after being handed a 3-0 defeat by Group G leader Yangon United at the Youth Training Centre in Yangon, Myanmar.
Ironically, it was a former Global player which gave Yangon the victory as Guinean forward Sekou Sylla scored twice in the second half that kept the Philippines Football League runner-up winless after three matches in the continental competition.
Maung Maung Lwin delivered the opener for Yangon shortly before halftime prior to the brace of Sylla, who played for Global early last year.
The defeat sent Global at the bottom of Group G with just one point on one draw and two defeats.
