Hi Ms. Rica,
I had sex with a guy and now medyo may nararamdaman po akong makati down there. Minsan din po may white discharge akong nakikita. Natatakot po akong magpatingin sa doctor at ayaw ko rin pong malaman ng parents ko ito. I’m really scared po. What should I do?
Scared Girl
Hello Scared Girl,
Yes, it can certainly be anxiety-provoking at nakakatakot if you see and feel something different in your body. Lalo na kung feeling mo na baka galing ito sa ibang tao because of your sexual relations with him. Hiding it from your parents can even be more nerve-wracking.
Pero do know that may mga paraan for you to get help without telling your parents about what you did. However, it is best for you to go to a doctor to tell him/her about your dilemma.
Whatever it is that’s causing your symptoms, whether it’s because of your recent sexual activity or not, mas mahalaga na makakuha ka ng doctor’s opinion tungkol dito para maipagamot agad.
Not only will it lessen your discomfort (i.e. itchiness and white discharge), it can also give you peace of mind.
Though it is also important for you to know na madaming possible causes para sa nararamdaman mo na hindi necessarily sexually related.
Kaya mas makakabuti talaga if you talk to an adult about what you’re going through. If you don’t want to talk to your parents, talking to a health care provider, such as your doctor, or other friends that you can trust, can be a lot of help.
They can provide you with information on condoms, and other forms of birth control na makakatulong sa iyo at this time of your life, especially if you continue to be sexually active. It may also help for your peace of mind, for you to get tested for sexually transmitted infections.
Ultimately, choice mo talaga if you want to disclose your sexual activity to someone. But, what is important now is for you find the cause of your itching and your discharge and get treated if necessary. Otherwise, you’re just prolonging your discomfort and your agony. And will be “praning” all the time. That’s not fun.
