USAP-usapan sa social media ang mga post ni Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago at Bb. Pilipinas World 2007 Maggie Wilson-Consunji matapos nilang sabihin na hindi deserve ni Miss Universe-Philippines 2018 Catriona Gray na manalo ng Best In Swimsuit special award sa nakaraang Bb. Pilipinas beauty pageant.
Nagsimula ang bangayan ng mga fans ni Catriona at nila Bea Rose at Maggie matapos kumalat ang screen grab sa social media ang mga komento ng dalawang beauty queens kay Catriona.
Ayon sa post in Maggie sa Facebook: “Huh, best in swimsuit? Paano? I mean, pretty face but definitely not the best body out there.”
Dagdag naman ni Bea Rose: “It should not be all about the face. 14 should win best in swimsuit!!!! Jeez her body she worked out.”
Ang tinutukoy ni Bea Rose na No. 14 ay si Samantha Bernardo na nanalong 2nd runner-up sa Bb. Pilipinas 2018 contest.
Dagdag pa ni Bea Rose: “Napa nganga tawa kami ni Maggie Wilson-Consunji.”
Hindi nagustuhan ng mga fans ni Catriona ang mga comments kaya “kinuyog” nila sila Maggie at Bea Rose sa social media.
Si Catriona ay ang magiging pambato ng Pilipinas sa darating na Miss Universe pageant.
Pinatulan naman ni Maggie ang mga negatibong comment laban sa kanya matapos idawit ng mga fans ni Catriona ang kanyang pamilya sa issue na tinawag nilang “unggoy” at “sugar daddy.”
“Getting so much hate for a comment I made about Catriona Gray. I didn’t agree with her being awarded best in swimsuit. I stand by that. I also do think she’s beautiful and deserves her Miss Universe-Philippines win for overall performance,” ayon kay Maggie.
“Did you forget I also wrote that? Or did you choose to ignore and neglect to read, screencap and share that part just so you have a ‘reason’ to hate?
“Why don’t you ask her what she thinks? I’m sure she won’t condone how nasty you’re all being. An opinion is different from bashing,” dagdag ni Maggie.
Pumagitna na si Catriona sa mga galit na fans sa social media at nagbigay na ito ng pahayag sa Instagram.
“Hey, my loves. I’ve been seeing some comments online regarding the comments of two of our beauty queens and their opinions on the best in swimsuit award in BBP2018,” ayon kay Catriona.
“Firstly, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Let’s not be too overly sensitive. As I’ve said before, debating and stating your own opinion is okay, but let’s not retaliate with negativity.
“Secondly, to those who ate saying that ‘I need to control the fans,’ pasensya po but I cannot control them or tell what to and to not say.
“Finally let’s just be happy! I’m elated and over the moon to be our new Ms Universe Philippines! We should be celebrating the new queens! More love, more positivity,” ayon kay Catriona.
