It was in September 2017 when Go and Spies first got engaged after he proposed to her in Boracay Island.

Spies is a business executive based in New York City who is affiliated with American luxury fitness company Equinox.
The foreigner then said that he does not have any idea that Go was popular in the Philippines. “I never really kind of googled her or kind of looked for her online . . . I just thought she was great in what she does.”
Go, 32, began her career by winning a nationally-televised singing competition “Search for a Star” at the age of 17.
Since then, she has released seven multi-platinum solo albums and has appeared in various shows and international concerts.
Other theater credits include Ariel in “The Little Mermaid” (Manila), Jane Porter in “Tarzan” (Manila), and Fantine “Les Miserables” (London and Manila). Her stunning performance was captured on film in “Miss Saigon – The 25th Anniversary Performance” screened in cinemas in the US and around the world.
Go reprised her role as Gigi Van Tranh in the hit musical “Miss Saigon” on Broadway. She appeared in “Miss Saigon” with the support of Actors’ Equity Association.
