The love for Mother Earth will once again be highlighted as nature lovers take part in the 9th Nat Geo Earth Day Run today at the SM Mall of Asia grounds.
Known as the “Eco Warriors” since it was first launched in 2009, the marathoners get to enjoy the event put up by National Geographic in hopes to spread support to save planet Earth.
Now on its 10th year, the event is expected to attract thousands of runners considering the interest it has gained as participants are eager to join the highly-anticipated meet with registration fees of P750 for 3K runners to P1,400.00 for 21K participants.
Last year, more than 15,000 runners joined the event, and organizers have expressed confidence in matching – if not surpassing – the number of participants in today’s Nat Geo Earth Day Run.
Like in the past, the 3K is a fun run, which will allow the runners to engage in several sidelights for them to be able to express their environmental beliefs to save planet Earth.
As for the 21K run, participants will have a chance to know more about the conditioning regimen for runners, as National Geographic will host a series of running clinics for elite participants.
