Kung papipiliin, mas type ng aktor na si Ian Veneracion na yakapin ang kanyang mga fans kesa magpa-selfie.
“Sure I’m okay with that! Pero if I had a choice, I would definitely want a hug more than a picture,” ayon kay Veneracion sa interview sa “Tonight With Boy Abunda” sa ABS CBN.
“A picture is for followers na lang online. It’s so impersonal. And you have to pretend to be happy when you’ve never met this person. When you hug, it’s for both of you and you connect. Energetically, physically you just connect and you can have a decent conversation,” sabi ni Veneracion.
Wala rin daw syang pakialam kung marami rin syang yayakapin na fans sa isang araw. “I don’t mind a thousand hugs, really. More than pictures, if I had a choice.”
Kapapanalo pa lang ni Veneracion bilang Best Actor para sa pelikulang “Ilawod” sa Fanta Sporto International Film Festival sa Portugal.
“It’s about water spirit. We did the movie last year kami nila Iza Calzado. It was directed by Dan Villegas. Nagulat din ako eh,” ani Veneracion.
Nang tanungin kung gaano ka importante sa kanya ang acting awards, sabi ni Veneracion: “It’s a validation in a foreign country where the only basis is the movie itself. Flattered pero hindi ko masyadong didibdibin.”
Tawang-tawa naman si Veneracion, 43, kapag nakakabasa sya sa social media ng mga comments tungkol sa kanyang kagwapuhan. “I think that’s my market talaga titos, titas, mommies. Baka ang tingin nila sa akin sanggol. Parang ang cute cute naman nito, ganyan.”
Pagkatapos ng teleseryeng “A Love To Last” sa Kapamilya network, abala ngayon si Veneracion sa kanyang mga anak. Pero sinabi nya na nami-miss na raw nya ang gumawa uli ng teleserye.
“I do miss it. Because I don’t have a bag of tricks, kaya may mga gaps palagi. That’s how you recharge and come back fresh. My kids, my children. Lahat ng hilig ko sinasama ko sila,” ayon kay Veneracion.
Nitong Enero, dinala ni Veneracion ang kanyang mga anak sa Yosemite National Park sa California para sa rock climbing.
“I want them to appreciate the outdoors. And my youngest son, pagtingin nya sa view, sabi nya, ‘Daddy, I think this is the most beautiful thing I have ever ever seen.’ To me that’s wow! I’m so honored to be able to take him there and give him that experience,” dagdag ni Veneracion. May tatlong anak ang aktor.
