ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat – Police here are hot on the trail of Naga Mangundadatu, son of Governor Pax Mangudadatu, after he reportedly shot dead a couple Monday.
Senior Supt. James Gulmatico, Sultan Kudarat police director, said the younger Mangudadatu allegedly shot and killed Jose and Marissa Balon at their residence in Lutayan, Sultan Kudarat following a heated altercation.
Gulmatico said the argument stemmed from the couple’s unpaid debt to the younger Mangundadatu amounting to P10, 000.
The victims succumbed to multiple bullet wounds in the head and body.
Governor Mangudadatu himself ordered the arrest of his son, said Gulmatico.
“The governor had given me blanket authority to arrest the suspect and negotiate for his surrender,” Gulmatico said. (Joseph Jubelag)
