President Duterte is grateful for the continued public trust in his leadership despite the endless attacks against him, Malacañang said yesterday after a survey showed his trust rating fell in the first quarter of the year.
Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said they welcome the President’s “very good” trust rating and assured that he would stay focused on his work of bringing comfortable lives to Filipinos.
“We are thus grateful for our people’s vote of confidence with significant trust in the President, amid being subject to unending criticisms and attacks,” Roque said.
“Rest assured that the President will continue to steer the ship of State until we reach a drug-free destination where the country’s macroeconomic fundamentals would be strong and resilient so Filipinos could lead comfortable lives,” he added.
In the SWS survey conducted last March, the President’s net trust rating dropped to +65 or “very good” in the first quarter of 2018, from 75 points or “excellent” in December 2017.
The survey found out that 76 percent of Filipinos had “much trust” in the President, 10 percent had “little trust,” and 14 percent were undecided.
