HALOS isang linggo na matapos magwala si Kris Aquino sa ipinalabas na interview ni Korina Sanchez-Roxas sa “Rated K” tungkol sa dating asawa nitong si James Yap, wala pa ring sagot si Korina sa issue na kinasangkutan nito kay Kris.
Imbes na atupagin nito ang sinabi ni Kris, binigyang oras na lamang ni Korina ang kanyang proyekto na maghatid ng tsinelas sa mga kapus-palad.
Sa kanyang post sa Instagram, sinabi ni Korina na ipagpapatuloy pa rin nya ang pagbibigay ng tsinelas sa mga mahihirap na simbolo ng pag-asa at mahabang paglalakbay sa buhay.
“We have given away countless pairs of slippers nationwide over the past 15 years. Some may say this is a small act unworthy of attention, while some even see it as a joke. It doesn’t really matter. I know exactly why my team and I do this, and we believe in our cause;
“Slippers are part of our everyday lives that most of us take for granted. However, believe it or not, most people do not have the luxury to buy a new pair even if it costs only R50-100. They would rather buy food than slippers. Even if they have to walk barefoot;
“The act of giving slippers should not really be taken in its material sense. I could give away shirts, bags, or food but I chose slippers because it is constantly being overlooked;
“But if you analyze a pair and the power it holds, It symbolizes hope and journey. Hope and aspirations are renewed when a child receives a new pair of slippers. Then children begin to believe again. Children get to be children;
“Everyone deserves to live their #BestLife. But in this journey, some will tire and some will lose hope. They do not need the world to give up on them too. They deserve some of us who will encourage them to carry on with their journeys,” ayon kay Korina.
