IT’S an adventure-filled summer for ABS-CBN TVplus’ YeY as Marvel’s “The Avengers” kicks off a series of fun and values-laden movies for kids and parents on “KidSine” every Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m..
The first part of the famous movie series on YeY aired last April 22 (Sunday).
“The Avengers” is the first installment which features Ironman, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, and the Hulk, teaming up for the first time to try to defeat enemy Loki, who wants to conquer the universe.
As a bonus, YeY viewers also have a chance to win tickets to a special block screening of “The Avengers” sequel “The Avengers: Infinity War,” set today, 3:50 p.m. at Glorietta 4 by answering the question of the day on YeY’s Facebook page on facebook.com/YeYChannel.
After “The Avengers,” a mix of old and new movies that kids of all ages can enjoy follow on YeY’s KidSine.
Local classics fill the lineup on Saturdays starting with “Pik Pak Boom,” (April 28) a movie about a barkada who learn that happiness comes from being able to share yourself with others. This will be followed by “RPG Matanoia,” (May 5), the first local 3D animated film, set to entertain gamers and fans of adventure; “Family Tree” (May 12), about a magical tree that bears money, but only allows truly good people to care for it and harvest it; and “Ang Tanging Ina” (May 19), about the ups and downs of a single mother’s life as she cares for her 12 children, staying happy and positive despite setbacks.
Meanwhile, kids can also look forward to American movies on Sundays starting with “Baby Geniuses” (April 29), which tells the story of baby geniuses (who are results of evil scientists’ experiments) who try to escape their captors and head to the real world.
To be featured in the following weeks are “The Wild” (May 6), which tells the story of a zoo lion from New York who finds himself lost in the wild after he’s “rescued” and returned to Africa, “Freaky Friday” (May 13), a family comedy about a mother and daughter who are forced to switch bodies as they frequently fight and disagree; “Akeela and the Bee” (May 20), an inspiring movie about a young girl who must fight against her insecurities and personal problems as she prepares for an academic competition; and “Mirror Mirror” (May 27), a live action movie on the classic story of Snow White.
