Games Tomorrow (Smart Araneta Coliseum)
4:15 pm – Foton vs Cocolife
7:00 pm – F2 Logistics vs Petron
Petron coach Shaq Delos Santos does not mind if the Blaze Spikers will come in as underdogs against defending champion F2 Logistics Cargo Movers in their keenly awaited finals rematch for the Chooks to Go-Philippine Superliga (PSL) Grand Prix crown starting tomorrow at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
After all, Delos Santos is confident that the Blaze Spikers won’t run out of motivation as they try to avenge their loss to the Cargo Movers in last year’s finals that went the full three-game route.
“We will do everything to prepare for our finals rematch with F2 Logistics,” he said. “F2 is a very talented team. It is a strong and aggressive team. The big challenge for us is what happened last year when we lost to them in the finals. This is a new opportunity and we’re accepting this challenge to, hopefully, win the title.”
Petron, bidding to claim its second title since topping the toughest conference in 2014, will lean on familiar faces like one-time tourney MVP Lindsay Stalzer and Japanese libero Yuri Fukuda plus Mika Reyes, Aiza Maizo-Pontillas and Remy Palma to lead the way. (J. Lagunzad)
