A suspected drug peddler was left badly injured after being stabbed by his alleged customer over a drug transaction.
The victim, identified as alias “Pepi” sustained multiple stab wounds on the chest, police reports said.
Prior to the incident, the suspect identified as “Rolando” of Barangay 455 was having a drinking session with companions when one of his friends, who remains unidentified as of this writing, reportedly asked him to buy illegal drugs worth R700 from “Pepi”.
After the drug purchase, Rolando went back to his friend only to realize that the illegal drugs he bought seemed reduced and was thought to be worth only P300.
A closed-circuit television footage then showed Rolando running back to “Pepi” with a bladed weapon on his hand. The suspect subsequently stabbed the victim on the chest.
Pepi was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital by concerned citizens.
Rolando, now under the custody of Sampaloc Police Station, has reportedly apologized for the incident but will still face appropriate charges.
