CATBALOGAN CITY– At least 300 houses along a coastal area here were rendered useless following a raging fire that lasted some two hours.
Police Regional Office 8 (PRO8) Information Officer, PSupt. Bella Rentuaya, disclosed the blaze, which engulfed the row of houses along Del Rosario Street in Pier 1, started around 2:40 a.m. yesterday.
It was declared fire out around 5 a.m. There were no injuries or casualties reported but hundreds of families were left homeless.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire as of press time.
