Government workers will start receiving their mid-year bonus starting next week, the Department of Budget and Management said yesterday.
Budget Secretary Benjamin E. Diokno said that more than 1.5 million state workers will receive their mid-year bonus which is equivalent to one month basic salary.
Diokno said the government has earmarked P36.2 billion for the mid-year bonus.
Based on Budget Circular No. 2017-2, the mid-year bonus is granted if the personnel has rendered at least a total of or an aggregate of four months of service from July 1 last year to May 15.
The personnel should remain to be in the government service as of May 15 this year, the DBM said.
Likewise, the personnel should obtain at least a satisfactory performance rating in the applicable performance appraisal period, the DBM said.
