Notable protagonists in the recent Chooks to Go-Philippine Superliga Grand Prix finals will share their prestige to the star-studded PSL squad which will invade Silay City, Negros Occidental for a pair of exhibition matches next week.
Skipper Ces Molina and fellow Petron standout Mika Reyes will spearhead the initial 19-strong unit composed of familiar faces and veterans from the league’s eight-team field in the two-day PSL Team Tour which will be held at the Silay City Gym on May 18 and 19.
Crafty setter Rhea Dimaculangan and middle blocker Remy Palma, who also played key roles in the Blaze Spikers’ three-game conquest of former championF2 Logistics Cargo Movers, have also been selected to join the PSL team.
Also tapped to team up with them are five Cargo Movers led by setter Kim Fajardo, outside hitters Cha Cruz-Behag and Ara Galang, and middle blockers Aby Maraño and Majoy Baron.
Cocolife libero Denden Lazaro and middle blocker Aerial Patnongon, the long-time girlfriend of reigning four-time PBA league MVP June Mar Fajardo, have also been included together with Foton’s middle hitter Maika Ortiz and opposite hitter Mina Aganon.
