CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – A top official of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) was arrested by anti-narcotics police during a drug raid in Barangay San Roque, Tarlac City, Wednesday.
Citing a report, Chief Supt. Amador V. Corpus, Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director, said that suspect Roel Galang Yambao, LTO Tarlac Officer-In-Charge, 59, was arrested by joint operatives of Tarlac Police Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) and Tarlac Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) during the implementation of Search warrant in his residence at Capitol Garden Subdivision, Brgy. San Roque, Tarlac City.
The warrant was issued by Honorable Executive Judge Lily C. De Vera-Vallo.
“The arrest of Yambao, who is a high ranking official of the LTO only goes to show that more and more unscrupulous government workers are involved in illegal drug and we continue to launch operations against all who are included in our target list and watchlist,” Corpus said.
Nine heat-sealed small transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu; and a hand grenade were confiscated from the suspect.
