Ledama succumbed to a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
PO1 Richard Consulta, Toboso police investigator, said that Ledama, who was employed as hacienda guard, had been receiving death threats allegedly from the New People’s Army.
They are now looking into a Victor Perolino as prime suspect in the ambush.
Meanwhile, armed men claiming to be members of the NPA burned a six-wheeler Mitsubishi Canter truck loaded with fertilizer in Hacienda Chary, Brgy. Magallon Cadre, Moises Padilla.
The arson took place a day after the NPA claimed responsibility for the burning of heavy equipment, construction materials and a bunkhouse in Brgy. Tan-awan, Kabankalan City, on May 7.
