CAGAYAN – A raid in a bar in Brgy. Magapit, Lal-lo here Wednesday, led to the discovery of a drug den within the premise as with the arrest of at least 11 drug suspects including the owner of the establishment.
Police identified the suspects as Edward C. Sac, 41, bar owner; Arnel Cabison, 32; Jerry Villanueva, 31; Jhon Christian Corpuz, 24; Ramil Berandal, 29; Mary Ann Bejet, 29; Leslie delos Reyes Baniqued, 25; Jessica Zarate, 22; Marilou Sac, 37; Analyn Mercado, 22; and Melanie Sencio, 35.
Senior Supt. Warren Gaspar Tolito, Philippine National Police (PNP) Cagayan provincial director, said they have been monitoring Sac for some time already believing he has been his bar as front for illegal drug activities.
Seized during the raid were a brick of dried marijuana leaves, five small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing shabu, and other drug paraphernalia.
