Two men, including a teenager, were nabbed by authorities after allegedly shooting to death an American in Negros Occidental Tuesday.
Gilbert Apellido, 40, of Talisay, Negros Occidental; and Neil Brian Corseno, 18, of Silay City, Negros Occidental; were apprehended by police after allegedly killing Eric Hendrickson, 57, a native of Iowa, USA, based in Silay City.
Initial investigation revealed that Hendrickson was walking by his lonesome in front of a hospital along Barangay 5, Silay City around 10:10 p.m. when the two suspects peppered him with bullets.
The American was rushed to the Teresita Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City where he was declared dead on arrival.
Silay City Police apprehended the suspects during a follow-up operation in Barangay 5 a few minutes later.
They are now in detention in Silay.
