Radio and TV personality Grace Lee is still communicating with former president Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino.
In an interview on the MBC Every1 Korean talk show “Video Star” Lee revealed, “I still keep in contact with him.”
But seemingly quick to douse speculation they have renewed romantic ties, Lee added, “We just ask how we’re doing.”
Lee and Aquino became tabloid fodder sometime in 2012 after it was made public they were going out on dates.
When asked about it by the hosts of “Video Star,” she said, “We weren’t officially dating but had ‘something’ going on. In the Philippines, you call it the dating stage. If the two are interested in each other then you can go out for dinner together.”
According to Lee, she liked the former president for being “smart.”
“And I could feel that he’s a good person after having talks with him.”
As to why it didn’t blossom beyond dating, Lee explained, “The rumors started spreading when we were on the stage of getting to know each other so we couldn’t go any further.”
All that said, Lee is not closing her doors on Aquino.
She said, “You never know what can happen…”
Lee was a newscaster for GMA 7 from 2010 to 2012. She then transferred to TV5 where she worked from 2012 to 2015.
She gained fame via the radio show “Good Times with Mo” where she worked from 2007 to 2012.
The episode of “Video Star” was hosted by Kim Sook, Park Na-Rae, Park So-Hyun, and Girls’ Generation’s Sunny.
