Cynthia A. Villar and Manny Pacquiao remain the richest senators.
Villar declared a net worth of P3.611 billion and has no liabilities, according to the Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth of senators for 2017 released yesterday. The net worth of former Senate President Manuel B. Villar Jr.’s wife rose P5 million from P3.606 billion the previous year.
Pacquiao is second with a net worth of P2.946 billion, down from P3.072 billion the previous year. He declared R3.076 billion in assets and P129.778 million in liabilities.
Third is Sen. Ralph Recto with a net worth of P538.889 million and R88.807 million in liabilities. Fourth is Sen. Juan Miguel F. Zubiri (P152.094 million) and fifth is Sen. Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara (P131.766 million).
Rounding up the Top 10 are Senate Minority Floor Leader Franklin Drilon and Senators Grace Poe, Sherwin Gatchalian, Joseph Victor Ejercito, and Richard J. Gordon.
Following them are Senators Vicente Sotto III, Nancy Binay, Loren Legarda, Bam Aquino, Panfilo Lacson, Gregorio Honasan, and Joel Villanueva.
Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III is 18th with a net worth of R18.110 million without any liabilities; Senators Risa Hontiveros, Sen. Francis Pangilinan, Francis Escudero, and Leila M. de Lima.
Opposition Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV remains the poorest among his colleagues with a net worth of R6.871 million and liabilities totaling P9.538 million.
