TO INSPIRE OTHER WOMEN: “I want to inspire women of a certain age that they can do a whole lot more,’’ states Regine Tolentino, known hereabouts as Dance Diva.
Separated from her husband and blessed with two children, the dancer-actress conquers the stage in what is touted as her very first dance concert, “Ignite,” on May 27 at the Skydome in SM North EDSA.
“I was never known as a singer, but I sure know what entertainment is all about,’’ Regine explains. A mean dancer if there ever was one, Regine is versatility personified.
She is an actress, host, model, fashion designer, style icon, and dancer extraordinaire.

HOT AND SPICY IN HER 40s: Regine celebrates a turning point in her sterling career of 23 years as she presents her first ever dance concert, produced by Flanax, and co-presented by 4.0 Events Management and RT Studios in partnership with Viva Artist Agency.
The show promises electrifying production numbers choreographed by Speed Dancers’ dance director Egai Bautista. Regine herself designed the show’s fabulous costumes, as well as those of the Speed Dance Company who will join her in the hot numbers.
“It’s going to be really sexy,’’ the 40-something warns.
Appearing as guests on the show are Sheryl Cruz, Andrea del Rosario, Patricia Javier, Madelle Paltuob, Ynez Veneracion, Gem Ramos, Cherry Lou, Sheree, Leah Patricio, Sheng Belmonte, Jenny Miller, Alyna Velasquez, Che Che Tolentino, April Tolentino, Luningning, Mariposa, Zara Lopez, Saicy Aguila, and Dasuri Choi.
Billed under special participation are Thyro and Zeus Collins.
Regine’s repertoire will include songs and dances from hit-making divas Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Madonna, and Britney Spears.
She will also be singing cuts from her recently launched CD recording “Moving To The Music”, like “Divas In Me”, “Bounce” and “Fearless.”
The songs celebrate positive ideals like women empowerment, confidence in self-expression, and physical fitness.
‘’I want to show people that women can be of a certain age, and yet remain beautiful and sexy inside and out,’’ she says.
