Joshua Convento and Vince Imperial of EAC/ICA-Team Rosario took the spotlight by topping the men’s division of the 1st Davey Chua Beach Volley Tournament held recently at Long Beach Resort, Barangay San Rafael IV in Noveleta, Cavite.
The duo from Team Roario bested their rivals from tem GenTri to pocket the top R5,000 top purse.
Team Trece Martires City’s Marilyn Silava and Josephine Talana reigned in women’s division by downing their Team Noveleta rivals.
Twenty teams joined the men’s division while 14 in women’s division in the event presented by Councilor Davey Chua.
Chua intends to stage a similar tournament this December.
