BACOLOD CITY – An alleged drug lord and his relative were killed while four others, including a policeman, were wounded in a 15-hour operation to neutralize the Poja Drug Group here Thursday.
Police identified the suspect as Ramy Poja, 36, the leader of the group. Poja was the No. 1 most wanted person of the Bacolod police Station 3 and tagged as a drug lord here and Western Visayas.
Poja had warrants of arrest for gun and drugs charges but managed to escape pursuing authorities by tossing grenades in 2015, 2016, and last February.
Poja’s relative, Roberto Lim, alias “Bobby,” who is classified as a high-value target, was also killed in the operation. Among those wounded was Rusty Poja Constantino.
